A.J. Francis, formerly known as WWE superstar Top Dolla, held his annual A.J. Francis Canned Food Drive from November 19 to November 21. The drive collected 15 shopping carts full of food for Sarah’s House in Fort Meade, Maryland. This is the fifth and most successful year Francis has hosted the event.
Francis, a DMV native and University of Maryland alumnus, held the drive at several University of Maryland sporting events during the weekend. Fans in attendance were encouraged to bring non-perishable items. The first day of the drive took place on Friday, November 19 at the Terrapins men’s basketball game. Saturday’s collection took place at the Terrapins football game. The drive concluded on Sunday at the Terrapins women’s basketball game.
After the event, Francis thanked the following via Twitter: Terp Nation, Maryland Terrapins, Maryland Football, the Maryland Men’s Basketball team, and the Maryland Women’s Basketball team.
