Hey y’all,
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who purchased a copy of Volume 1, Winter 2025. It truly means the world to me that you would spend your hard-earned money on a pro wrestling newsletter like this. Honestly, I’m surprised anyone even bought a copy. But people did, and I am very grateful.
Wrestlers’ accomplishments now extend beyond the ring, with many landing roles in movies and TV, winning awards, and being featured in art museums. This resurgence shows wrestling’s re-entry into pop culture, which is exciting for the sport as a whole, especially for Black wrestlers.
Pro wrestling is an integral part of blerd culture. In April, May, and June, wrestlers showcased anime and comic book-inspired gear, like Swerve Strickland’s Static Shock outfit, Jade Cargill’s X-Men Storm look, and Prince Kanu’s Loki gear at F1ght Club Pro Wrestling’s It Was All a Dream show at Dream Con 2025. Yes, shout out to the DMV’s F1ght Club Pro Wrestling for hosting a show at Dream Con 2025 back in May. It doesn’t get more blerdy than hosting a 3-day, 4-shows wrestling event at an annual anime and gaming convention with a focus on inclusivity, especially for Black and Brown communities. Thank you, F1ght Club Pro!
