Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Championship Recognized As World Championship

Trish Adora Wins Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Title

Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) announced it will now acknowledge the Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Championship as a world championship. F1ght Club Pro debuted The Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Championship in Fall 2019. PWI also granted World Championship status to The IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship.

In addition, PWI stated, via a tweet, that it will refer to the Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora title and IWTV Independent Wrestling title as world championships. Similarly, titleholders will now be viewed as world champions for rankings purposes.

Trish Adora is the current and inaugural Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora champion and has been champion for 541 days. Adora defeated Darius Lockhart and Mr. Grim in a Triple Threat Match for the championship. Adora has defended her title against several challengers including Ashton Starr, Suge D, Rache Chanel, and Don’t Die Miles.

In 2020, Adora won three Black Wrecellence awards: Wrestler of the Year, Move of the Year, and Match of the Year. In the Wrestler of the Year award category, Adora shared the #2 spot with WWE’s Sasha Banks. She grabbed the #2 spot in the Match of the Year category for her match against Mr. Grim and Darius Lockhart for the PAWD championship. Lariat Tubman, Adora’s finishing move, took the top spot in the Move of the Year category.

F1ght Club Pro was also awarded two Black Wrecellence awards: Fed of the Year and Moment of the Year.

Congratulations to Trish Adora, F1ght Club Pro, and the Pan-Afrikan World Championship.
