Everything We Loved and Hated about Hell in a Cell

By now you should have seen the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. If not, it’s probably already been spoiled for you. The IWC does not wait to post spoilers. Here are six things we loved and six things we hated about the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Loved: Solid Pay-Per-View

Solid pay-per-view, solid matches. If I had to rate the overall pay-per-view, I’ll give it 3.5 stars (out of 5 stars).

Hated: Bad Finishes

What’s up with all the wonky finishes? Two bad finishes on one pay-per-view for the two most important title in WWE. No Bueno.

Loved: The Brutalness of Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton

This match really embodied the true essence of Hell in a Cell. From Randy sticking that screwdriver and twisting it in Jeff’s earlobe to Jeff’s unforgettable moment. Thank you, Jeff and Randy!

Hated: Neither One of the Women’s Titles Were Defended Inside the Cell

I would have loved to have seen at least one of the women’s title matches fought inside the cell, especially since the Evolution pay-per-view is only a few weeks from now. Give us another women’s Hell in a Cell match!

Loved: The New Red Cell

While smarks and wrestling elitists weren’t too happy with the WWE’s decision to change the color of its cell, I loved it! The camera shots from inside of the cell looked so cool!

Hated: The Slight Eye Strain

With the new red cell, I found myself squinting my eyes at times. Particularly, with the camera shots from outside of the cell. Yep, it took some time for my eyes to adjust.

Loved: Brock Lesnar’s Surprise Appearance

In the age of spoilers, I was totally shookth. I did not expect to see Lesnar. The surprise factor felt very nostalgic.

Hated: The Cell Doesn’t Keep Anyone Out

I thought the purpose of a locked steel cell was to not only lock wrestlers in but to lock other wrestlers out. Umm ok!

Loved: Becky Lynch Winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship

See Also

Yay! Becky won! Becky is now a 2x time SmackDown women’s champion. A heel champion should mean both Asuka and Naomi are next in line. Right?

Hated: The Idea that Becky & Charlotte May Play Hot Potato with the Championship

I’m loving this Becky and Charlotte feud, and I want more. But please don’t have them playing hot potato with the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Please!

Loved: Seven Main Card Matches and One Pre-show Match

Less is more! Fewer matches open up more time for each match. Which usually means better quality matches. I also felt less tired by the end of the pay-per-view.

Hated: No US Title Match

I miss Shinsuke Nakamura! Since winning the US title, he doesn’t get to grace us with his presence as often. Sigh. Is Nakamura even booked on the Super Show-Down pay-per-view? Sigh.
