Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins
Singles match for the WWE Universal Championship
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Who I Would Book to Win: Seth Rollins
Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins is just a case of bad deja vu. We’ve seen Lesnar vs Rollins too many times and it’s been the same thing each time. We know Lesnar will completely destroy Rollins. For the last couple of Raw episodes, that’s exactly what Lesnar has been doing: destroying Rollins. Essentially, this match will be the same Lesnar match, and if that’s the case, Rollins doesn’t stand a chance of winning.
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Natalya
Submission Match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Winner: Becky Lynch
Who I Would Book to Win: Becky Lynch
Natalya may be the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be of the WWE women’s division. But she ain’t The Man. If you can’t remember anything from last year’s SummerSlam, remember that Charlotte Flair defeated Carmella (c) and Becky Lynch. Flair’s win would cause Lynch to snap and attack her, and just like that “The Man” was born. One SummerSlam later, Lynch is the WWE Raw Women’s Champion and the new face of the WWE. Taking the championship off of Lynch right now when she is at the height of her career, would make ZERO sense. So we all know Lynch will retain, but how? Will Lynch use Nattie’s Sharpshooter to get the victory? I guess we’ll have to see.
Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Randy Orton
Singles match for the WWE Championship
Winner: Kofi Kingston
Who I Would Book to Win: Kofi Kingston
By now, everyone knows the Randy Orton killed Kofi Kingston’s push nine years ago. In fact, this match’s storyline revolves around Orton’s efforts to bury Kingston. So nothing would be sweeter than Kingston hitting Orton with a Trouble in Paradise. Defeating Orton clean would be magical. Most importantly, Kingston retains.
Bayley (c) vs. Ember Moon
Singles match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Winner: Bayley
Who I Would Book to Win: Bayley
Bayley vs Ember Moon is the freshest match up on the SummerSlam card. It’s also the match I’m looking forward to the most. Even though the story leading up to this match has been slightly off, the actual match has a lot of potential to steal the show (if given enough time to shine). An Ember Moon heel turn would make the story much more interesting. Maybe after Bayley gets the win, Moon completely snaps and completely destroys Bayley, leading to a rematch at the next pay-per-view.
AJ Styles (c) vs. Ricochet
Singles match for the WWE United States Championship
Winner: AJ Styles
Who I Would Book to Win: Ricochet
This match should be pure fire! We know both AJ Styles and Ricochet can deliver five-star matches. If a Ricochet push is underway, he isn’t losing clean. The other members of The OC, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, will interfere in the match giving the assist to Styles. Styles will pick up the win.
Drew Gulak (c) vs. Oney Lorcan
Singles match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Winner: Drew Gulak
Who I Would Book to Win: Drew Gulak
The superstars of 205 Live always deliver, and Drew Gulak vs Oney Lorcan will too. It’s a shame so many fans will miss out on this match because it’s being placed on the SummerSlam Kick-off show (Vince doesn’t like the term pre-show). I don’t think Lorcan will defeat Gulak. Which makes me wonder who will defeat Gulak and become the next cruiserweight champion.
Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon
Singles match. If Owens loses, he will quit WWE
Winner: Kevin Owens
Who I Would Book to Win: Kevin Owens
Hopefully, this is the last Shane McMahon match for a while. No more Super Shane. Kevin Owens gets the win.
Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair
Winner: Trish Stratus
Who I Would Book to Win: Charlotte Flair
This was probably the hardest match for me to predict on the SummerSlam card. I can’t imagine either woman, Trish Stratus or Charlotte Flair losing. But since SummerSlam is taking place in Toronto, I’m predicting Stratus to win.
Finn Bálor vs. The Fiend
Winner: The Fiend
Who I Would Book to Win: The Fiend
There have been reports that Finn Bálor is going on vacation after SummerSlam, so he’s more than likely he’s taking an L. The Fiend is making his debut, so getting the win is more important for him. I’m excited to see The Fiend in action.
Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler
Winner: Goldberg
Who I Would Book to Win: Dolph Ziggler
Goldberg already lost to The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, so he is getting the win at SummerSlam. Goldberg wins with probably just a spear and a jackhammer.
