On February 14, Trish Adora defeated Tony Deppen in the first-ever intergender 60 minutes Iron Match. Adora beat Deppen 2 falls to 1. The match aired free on YouTube and was presented by Pro Wrestling Illustrated and Beyond Wrestling. If fans missed the live airing, there is a replay on Beyond Wrestling’s YoutTube channel (match below).

Adora picked up the first fall after hitting Deppen with her finisher the Lariat Tubman. Soon after, Deppen picked a fall by forcing Adora to submit. But it was Adora who scored the final fall seconds before the match ended.

As a matter of fact, Adora isn’t new to making wrestling history. In February 2020, Adora won F1ght Club Pro Wrestling’s Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Wrestling Championship. She is the first wrestler to win the championship and she has held the championship for a year.

In early February, Deppen issued an open challenge for an intergender Iron Match. Adora accepted. This wasn’t Deppen’s first Iron Match. In January, Deppen faced Jordan Oliver in a 60-minute Ironman match. Yet, Deppen’s match with Oliver lasted two hours because both wrestlers were tied 3-3 a the end of the 60 minutes.

An official Iron Match t-shirt, designed by Dave Cole aka Davey Painting, is now sold on Shop IWTV. Both wrestlers’ selected charities will receive proceeds from shirt sales. Adora’s selected charity will receive $10 from every t-shirt sold because she won the match. Deppen’s selected charity will receive $5. Adora selected The Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter. Deppen selected The Grateful Garment Project.
